Our Story
We are a very young company who are aiming to change the way business is done. Our aim is to put people first in business creating environments which get the best from all individuals by creating collaborative, innovative and resilient cultures. We are still testing many of our products but if you wish to know more please just contact us here.
We believe in people, leadership, trust, openness and sharing.
Our work is about creating business environments which respect all individuals and help them grow to become the best they can be. This allows an organisation to grow through their people. It is putting people over profit and thereby profiting from so much more than money.

When I finished my degree at university I went into my first job with high hopes of helping the organisation grow and prosper. I entered with enthusiasm, passion and an eagerness to learn. What I came across was an organisation full of individuals who mocked my vision of what a job could be.Comments such as ‘You’ll learn’ or ‘you obviously haven’t been here long enough’ were dominant clichés within the office. I would see older and more experienced colleagues tell me stories of how in the past they were on their way to be someone until a certain individual got in their way. That individual is now on their way to the top whereas they are blocked from doing anything to move onward.
There would be words of advice around how to best avoid work and how to ‘get back’ at the leaders within the organisation.
I could go on and tell you hundreds of stories from my experience where an individual was passing off responsibility, avoiding work and spreading these exact ‘philosophies’ of work throughout the office.
This experience made me wonder is this what work is really like surely employees should be wanting to work, helping each other to achieve goals and enjoying the opportunities, thereby improving the businesses performance.
Why do people work in such a way? And how can this be changed?
I was in this role for quite some time until I came across the book ‘The Success Zone’. This book not only described why people act like that but also how we can change that to make them into those outstanding employees that business owners crave. Why individuals disengage with their work and how you can reengage them fully into the business and get the best out of your greatest asset; your workforce.
It is this experience and knowledge that drove me to create Blue.
I truly believe that for a business to be successful and competitive it must get the best from its people; this can only be done through great leadership. It is our aim to create a generation of outstanding business leaders.

My work began in education. Back in 2001 I had the opportunity to interview an experienced teacher in a Sydney High School, a school that sat within a relatively low socio economic area. This teacher was on the point of retirement – she looked 45 years old but was actually 60 – and was recognised by the school as an outstanding teacher, that is, one who delivered above average outcomes for children, whilst having not only no behavioural issues but children wanting to go out of their way not to disappoint or let her down. When seen around the school this teacher was frequently surrounded by a gaggle of children who clearly loved being with her and she clearly loved teaching.
During the interview this teacher stated the following: “in my thirty years of teaching I have never had a discipline problem yet, in this school, there are two or three teachers whose sole objective on entering the classroom is to survive to the end of the lesson”.
This raised two questions: what was the outstanding teacher doing that the others were not? And,why were the others not doing it?
Answering these two questions has shaped the last ten years of development and lead to a much broader approach to helping people to be successful.
The subsequent research demonstrated universal characteristics that allow human beings to perform at their best and a key set of behaviours that allow teachers or leaders to bring that out in children or employees.
It is this research that is outlined in ‘The Success Zone’ that underpins our work at Group 8 but also Blue’s work in the UK into creating that next generation of business leaders.
